Informs that it has concluded the agreement no. POPW.01.02.00-20-0028/19-00 for the implementation of the project entitled:

“Preparing DEVO to implement a new business model related to company internationalisation.”

implemented under the Operational Programme Eastern Poland 2014-2020, priority axis I: Entrepreneurial Eastern Poland, Measure 1.2. Internationalisation of SMEs, co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund.

Project description:

The external advisor (OEG) has fully implemented the new MBI, based on consultations with DEVO. The works were carried out through a self-diagnosis questionnaire, desk research, brainstorming, in-depth interviews.

As part of the work, numerous teleconferences, telephone calls and were held together with e-mail correspondence.

Project objective:

The project aims to prepare the DEVO company to implement a new business model related to the internationalisation of its activities, to increase its business activity in foreign markets.

The current state of the DEVO enterprise is stable, but the company, to develop further, has to look for new customers and partners, increase sales, diversify sales markets. The company’s development plans in the strategic planning perspective are in line with the project objectives (company development through diversification of sales markets; market development strategies).

“Increasing DEVO’s competitiveness by implementing a design strategy.”

implemented under the Operational Programme Eastern Poland 2014-2020, priority axis I: Entrepreneurial Eastern Poland, Measure 1.4. Model for competition II stage, co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund

Project description:

The implementation of this project consists of the implementation of the design recommendations from Measure 1.4, developed under Stage I, of the Operational Programme for Eastern Poland Design Strategy (DS). A comprehensive range of recommendations was selected for implementation, as a result of which the company will implement the product innovation on the market and achieve the assumed project objectives. The project will begin in May 2019 with the procedures for the selection of design service providers and machine suppliers.

The activities planned for implementation under the application are of the project, advisory and investment character and connected with the following design recommendations:

1. Complementing the competence of the team which implements the process of new product development.

2.Building awareness among employees about the use of design.

3. Exploiting the potential of designers specialising in industrial design.

4. Developing functional improvements to current and new products – redesigning selected current collections.

5. Expanding the offer with new styles.

6. Improving the quality and efficiency of production processes.

7. Adapting the machinery to the range of manufactured products.

8. Increasing the effectiveness of design processes, production preparation and communication with customers.

9. Reflecting ‘gourmet’ values in marketing materials.

10. Developing segmentation and analysing customer preferences and needs.

11. Strengthening sales channels.

12. Improving the design quality of promotional materials.

Project objective:

The main objective of the project is to increase the competitiveness and development potential of the DEVO company based on industrial design through the implementation of the recommendation developed in the first stage Measure 1.4.  the strategy of the Operational Programme for Eastern Poland, including the design and implementation of product design, marketing and new production technologies, which will enable DEVO to introduce product innovation to the market.

This will be achieved through the implementation of specific objectives in the form of tasks:

1. The purchase of specialist consulting services related to the development of new projects and consulting services related to the implementation of the design into the company’s operations and the development of skilful design management,

2. The purchase of new production equipment and software to create a technological line for product innovation,

The achieved the secondary objective of the project will be to increase the potential of the enterprise from Eastern Poland through the use of design and introduction of new products on the market.

Project description:

The services provided by the selected Contractor included:

1. Conducting a design audit of the DEVO company consisting of the analysis of the activity in terms of potential and design needs, which included, among others

a) a design analysis of the company in terms of the product offer, business model, technology, organisational structure, communication processes, marketing strategy, definition and characteristics of customers and competitors and key industry trends in the context of the applicant;

b) an analysis of the applicant’s design management needs;

c) an analysis of the offer in terms of using the design and market potential of the applicant.

2. Developing a design strategy in the form of a design audit report containing at least the following elements:

a) general characteristics of the applicant’s entrepreneur including a design analysis of the company in terms of products, technology, organisational structure, customer communication processes, marketing strategy,

b) a general description of the applicant’s design environment including at least information on the characteristics of customers, description of the main competitors,

c) description of market trends, identification of vital industry, social and technological trends in the context of the applicant with high potential to influence the applicant’s market,

d) evaluation of the level of use of the design in the applicant’s company and its potential in this respect,

e) defining design problems in the applicant’s company (concerning both the product and other business processes in the company),

f) the possibility of solving design problems in the applicant’s company,

g) recommendations for further specific actions for the applicant company.

Project objective:

The main objective of the project was to increase the competitiveness of the DEVO company and the competence of the management in the field of skilful design management by analysing the potential and possibilities of the company’s design through:

1. Conducting a design audit in crucial areas of the company’s operations related to the currently offered product range,

2. Developing a design strategy in the form of a report on the conducted design audit.

The implementation of the specific objectives at the operational level was related to the purchase of the consulting services planned in this project for DEVO. In the process of defining recommendations of design activities resulting from the conducted audit, designated representatives of the DEVO company will be involved, which will affect the achievement of the principal project objective, and thus increase the human resources potential of enterprises operating in Eastern Poland in the field of design management.
